I thought i'd do a post on the shoes I picked up in the January sales. Until I started working in the Selfridges shoe gallery I wasn't remotely phased over owning certain shoes or obsessing over specific styles (obviously excluding my summer obsession with the Miu Miu glitter boot). However I'm now hooked at adding to my previously boring shoe collection which consisted of staple nude and black ballet flats, black heels and boots.

.1 Caroline Flack is constantly pictured wearing these gorgeous boots so when I began working for the brand I knew these would eventually be part of my shoe collection (I ♥ her). The heel height is so versatile, enabling them to be worn with both a day-wear ensemble as well as evening wear. Their sale price was reduced a further 20% so I was completely obliged to purchase them.

.2 & 3 I thought both pairs of these glitter slippers were adorable. Glitter is still a major feature in so many Spring/Summer collections that I wasn't too anxious about purchasing these. They're a great shoe to slip into your clutch on a night out as they provide a glitzy alternative to a plain ballet flat after a long night out in heels. Additionally providing a bit of sparkle to a dreary day at uni.

.4 Again, with these glitter heels I was really persuaded by their quality and low price. With a leather upper they're a great investment shoe, and a huge bonus as it's guaranteed to soften to accommodate your toes - a huge bonus with heels. I can't wait to wear these in the summer with my denim jacket and a pastel dress.

.5 I'd been looking for a red heel for months and completely fell in love with these. The detailing is so elegant I wore them on a night out with Nat for our friend's 21st. It was thankfully held in a private booth at a club so I was able to sit down as I'm really not used to such a high heel. Nevertheless they looked wonderful and I received lots of compliments about them. No pain no gain right?

I didn't realise how peculiar my ankles and high instep appear in photos/real life until I took these. Feet are so gross! Did you acquire any bargain shoes in the sales?
