Trending: winter florals

Scandi floral top, £38, Topshop; Culottes, £29.99, Zara; Shoes, £59, Topshop

Florals are the standard each season, whether a ditsy pattern in the spring or a Bloomsbury come winter they're the go-to print for each and every season. Effortless and classic.

I'm a notorious hoarder of pretty floral pieces and this winter floral smock top quickly became a staple of mine after I purchased it at the end of the summer. However, at the moment it's all about bold punchy florals and rich hues which are dark, edgy and luxurious. The juxtaposition between classic and retro is epitomised in this Toppers classic: featuring contrasting orange and dusty-pink floral and leaf print with fluted sleeves and a funnel neck top the style is sleek yet fun.

Working as well with denim and culottes as it does tucked into a suede mini, think more powerful than pretty when purchasing printed florals this winter.
