3 pairs of shoes you need now...

The weather is finally warming up, and the idea of Spring trends is actually starting to make sense. Off-the-shoulder tops feel like they are an actual possibility this week: rather than just a pretty idea now the rain's momentarily stopped.

I've put together a quick and manageable edit of three of my current favourite shoe trends that you can dress up (or down) this Spring. These three are certainly going to see me through this summer, finishing off your look by adding an accent, sparkle or point: the sun's out and

The 'granny shoe'
Add a little retro spin to your new season staples with a pair of '80s inspired glove shoes. Feminine and super versatile, they're the perfect height for long days and evenings out. I'm seriously comitted to this trend and currently own: the pictured, sleek cream leather Zara style, a black suede-ette H&M version and Topshop's grey 'Juno' offering. Wear yours with everything from your favourite raw hem jeans and cross-body bags to dainty spring dresses and colourful knits.

The block heel
The block heel can quite literally take you places styles like the stiletto can't. You can easily maneuver grass, escalators and walk the pavements for hours with no crippling heel pains: a all round win in my book. I really love this glitzy gold style from Asos, not only are they an affordable alternative to the classic but costly patent block-heel offerings from Valentino's and Marc Jacobs: they can instantly add glitz to your most love-worn jeans and plain tee - perfect for a spontaneous night out.

The multi-strap pointed pump
Taking a little inspiration from the ubiquitous 'Rock stud' these metallic pumps are perfect for the impending wedding season (more on this next week). Crafted from leather the pointed toe toughens up pretty looks whilst the seasonal metallic shade ads a covetable cool. I've been wearing mine with denim culottes and fluted tees.
