Where To Book For Mother’s Day

(don't...)

Looking to treat your Mum to a lavish lunch, dreamy dinner or simply a swish afternoon tea? Look no further than my pick of London’s sweetest restaurants to book this Mother’s Day.

Whether you’re looking to treat your mum to a day out or simply a lovely luxurious lunch this Mothering Sunday there are oh-so many dreamy places in London for you to visit you’ll definitely find something she’ll love.

And, if your mum’s anything like mine, she loves ‘making memories’ which is exactly what an afternoon tea at Sketch (and a trip to their insta-famous loo’s) guarantee!

I've listed my absolute favourite places for everything from brunch to dinner - let me know if you pop along!

Best London Breakfast's for Mother's Day:

Dishoom
Those of you who know me IRL will know how much I lovelove Dishoom. It's my go-to for every and any occasion and regularly take visiting friends to their Shoreditch restaurant as I love the atmosphere in there the most. Treat your Mum to their iconic Egg Naan Roll (sides of masala beans and grilled mushrooms are a must!) first thing before spending the day together.

Visit Dishoom's site to book a table at either one of their five London branches.

Granger & Co
I fell in love with Granger & Co over fashion week seasons and seasons ago. It's become a monthly brunch habit that I can't do without (that Aussie breakkie tho!!). With a few locations across the city it's a great meeting point and start to a lovely day of shopping or, spa treats. The decor is utterly dreamy and if, like my Mum, yours is currently/endlessly renovating their marble and plush gold decor will provide endless inspo for days, and days!

Granger & Co operate a walk-in policy so if you arrive in plenty of time you're guaranteed to get a table somewhere pretty swish, even on Mother's day! Click here to check out their menu.

Best London Afternoon Tea's for Mother's Day:

The Gallery at Sketch, Mayfair
The perfectly pretty, The Gallery at Sketch is made for the ultimate girly afternoon tea and it truly doesn't disappoint. With forty different teas available to brew, caviar and quail egg sandwiches and their innovative take on boiled egg and soldiers truly sets this afternoon tea apart from the crowd.

The Ivy, London
With pit-stops all across the city now from Soho to the King's Road The Ivy is one of the most charming places to visit: I really think there should be a food tour taking you from one to the next for breakfast at Covent Garden, lunch in Soho, dinner on the King's Road and drinks on Broad Street maybe?. Their afternoon tea menu is truly a treat though with brioche rolls and creme brulee doughnuts: it's reasonably priced and super luxurious.

Best London Restaurants for Mother's Day:

Spring, Somerset House
I love everything about Spring. Not only is (literally) evertyhing in this critically acclaimed restaruant from the perfect pink loos to the blossom wall installation and, of course, the absolutely delish menu. I've never, ever been served anything other than extraordinary when I've visited Spring and I always look forward to going back. It's a really special place!

Ours, Kensington
Stand-out, yet simple Ours is a dreamy option for a fuss-free dinner. With the menu options separated into 'land,' 'earth,' 'seaside' and 'fire' there's an option for all. The portions are small but very memorable, the last time I went I had a salad which arrived on a base of billowing clouds of liquid nitrogen. A nice course, and evening, to wow your mum with.
