If you’ve walked past any high street store this week, or
scrolled through the whole of your Instagram feed amongst the variations of
leopard print you’ll have noticed another – equally unavoidable – trend:
corduroy.
Retro-inspired and rich in texture this ridged style was a major hit
in the ‘70s and whilst it’s available in autumnal hues that’d perfectly fit
into that decade the trend is also available in a multitude of playful, bright
and bold hues.
Corduroy’s had a little modern make over.
It’s only just September and the style is all over the high
street in a rainbow of colourways. Literally every shade of corduroy is
available at every price. From pretty pink blazers’ to
wide leg trousers in a crisp carrot hue.
There’s an option and cut for all.
If, like me, you’re not an especially big fan of corduroy
trousers then you’ll pleased to know that everyone from H&M to mango have
skirt suits in matching or mismatched shades. There’s even a skirt to match
this blue corduroy blazer!
For now, at least, I’m just into the blazers so I thought I’d
share a few of my favourite styles – all under £100 with you guys.
