Best Summer Swimwear Under £50

Scoop Back Swimsuit, Weekday

Oh get me back to the beach.

I was totally spoilt by the heavenly weather on my recent trip to Cornwall - I've been every year since I was little and have never seen, or surfed in, such a crystal clear sea before.

It was so dreamy that I even invested in a wetsuit so I could get out into the sea as much as possible and, as the swimwear options I'd packed with me didn't quite work under a wetsuit so I ended up placing a rather spontaneous Asos order direct to the campsite to buy this Weekday style.

Whilst there wasn't anything strictly wrong with my striped & Other Stories swimsuit that you'll have seen all over my grid, the cute bowed straps proved to be less than streamlined when it came to suiting up.

Blue Striped Swimsuit, & Other Stories

Whilst I've not wholly given up on bikini's yet, I just didn't feel bold enough to brave one on a British beach this summer. There's been a huge resurgence for this classic style. Whether you're after a classic, chic or slightly cheeky style there's something for everyone.

So, I started searching for swimwear that was fun, flattering and affordable AND I found so many styles I thought it'd be rude not share them all with you guys.

Luxury Linen for Less

My love of linen is growing as the temperature continues to rise (and rise, and rise). No longer limited to just the beach (although I realise my snap of my favourite linen twinset is at the beach...) linen separates (and sets have been taken up a notch for summer '18 and I'm completely here for it.

Light-weight and easy to wear this breezy fabric, my wardrobe has started to revolve around linen separates and if, like me, you're avidly exploring any and every available option to keep cooler tailored pieces are the best place to start. With dressier styles providing easy-to-wear options for either a day at the office or a special summer occasion.

Keep an eye out for cropped trousers, buttoned down camisoles and sharp shouldered jackets for a more grown-up approach to the trend. And, don't be anxious to play around with your linen options paring linen together - it's one of those lovely trends where more is more.

My only warning is that you might finish your day with a few more creases than your cotton separates might offer but, over these summer months, you can definitely get away with this a little more. And, unless you're going to steam your look on-the-go there's no real way to truly avoid them - if you know of any let me know!

Shop The Trend: Sea Shell Jewellery

If, like me, you were guilty of wearing puka shell necklaces all summer long then you'll be thrilled to see that sea shell jewellery is oh-so back for summer.

All golden and grown up sea shells hit the catwalk with chunky puka shell necklaces layered over chunky knits at Prada's autumn show. However, this season they've really taken off with real shell and replica gold and pearl shell necklaces all over instagram and available everywhere from Asos to Alighieri.

And, if you're a little unsure how someone over the age of twenty three might possibly wear shell jewels without looking really gap yah: simply don't over think it. Layer with one of your go-to gold chains under a white linen shirt or, wear alone with a cute cami for dinner and drinks.

Here are a few of my favourites, so whatever your budget you can tap into summer's most nostalgic trend!
