PRODUCT REVIEW: CLARISONIC MIA (PINK)

Clarisonic Mia via BuyaPowa £90, usually £120

I purchased my Mia back in Feburary, there had been an awful lot of hype over the Mia within both the youtube and blogging communities. I'm not one to buy into hype easily but this really caught my attention. I researched all the Clarisonic products as there were quite conflicting reviews at the time - lots of people suffered from a 'purging' phase where their skin went terribly spotty and there was a big dispute over whether to continue past this or give up. I personally didn't experience this 'purge' - I've got combination skin and whilst I do unfortunately suffer the odd breakout (hope I've not jinxed this now, haha!) my skin doens't give me too much trouble and I seem to have been pretty lucky to escape the purge.

I've been using it about two/three times a week for the last six months and I completely agree with Clarisonic's branding that through usage you can acquire and obtain the best skin of your life. Its undoubtedly the most expensive beauty product I've ever purchased and is, in my opinion, definitely worth the investment :)I was using the Clarisonic cleanser supplied I personally prefer an Estee Lauder cleanser (of which I've currently ran out and forgotten the name of :S).

The Clarisonic works through sonic cleansing, the brush head oscillates back and forth at a sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second with the two dynamic zones of the Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System. The outer zone of the head (Zone 2): which clarifies and stimulates the skin whilst the inner zone (zone 1) provides a deep cleanse within your pores loosening dirt and excess oil - also removing make up.

Whilst the Mia (and other Clarisonic products) aren't exclusive to women, my brother, dad and boyfriend have all shunned the product. Do you own a Mia? If so how have you got on with it? Or are you still torn over whether to invest?

FLORAL OVERLOAD

Dress: Topshop (old)
Jacket: Topshop (old)
Bag: Accessorize
Shoes: ASOS
Bracelet: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Socks: Topshop

Sorry the last three posts have been quite Topshop heavy, I'll attempt a Toppers free outfit one day this week :)I'm also totally obsessed with my Allegra dupes and may even dedicate an entire post to them they're super comfy and are the perfect heel hight: facilitating easy day-to-night wear. Today my oldest friend has been over and we've been busy ebaying a tonne of old clothes and swapping with each other. (Mine are here and her's are here) I'm starting to pack up my stuff in preparation for my move to my new home. My old flat mate and I have secured a beautiful house in a lovely area with two girlies - which will be a stark contrast to the vile flat I slummed it down up (?) in last year.

When I was out at the weekend lots of people commented on how much my hair had grown, I've been really taking care of it and being very selective of the products I've been using. I'll be doing a few posts on my haircare routine and reviewing the products I've tried :)

SUPER proud of our wonderful Team GB athletes with their medal wins! We're slowly making our way up the medal table :) I was so immersed in the cycling yesterday I missed Beth Tweddle and the gymnasts but I'm hoping I'll be able to catch them in the second phase as I heard they were all phenomenal!

OOTN: SATURDAY NIGHT #2

Top: Topshop
Skirt: Topshop
Collar: Little Me Accessories*
Socks: Topshop
Ring: Ebay
Boots: ASOS

Sorry I've not blogged since last week, it was pretty manic with meetings and boring bits but there will be a post everyday - including some reviews of the beauty products I've acquired this summer :) - this week before I move back to London and commence my internship the week after! I'm so excited as it's at such an exciting place (I'll share where with you guys after I've completed my placement) but bloody dreading the Olympic traffic.

This is what I wore out in my hometown last night, it was a really good night - with pre drinks on inflatable sofas and urmington drinking games - which I was utterly horrendous at! I wore the collar from Little Me for the first time since I was sent it - I didn't realise that the etsy store has now closed down which is such a shame as they made the cutest accessories!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I've completely immersed myself in all the Olympic event and have been literally glued to my TV and twitter - I really loved the Opening Ceremony and although Team GB are yet to win a medal I'm feeling pretty proud to be British! :)

OOTN: SATURDAY NIGHT #1

Dress (worn as top): Primark
Skirt: Topshop
Jacket: Topshop
Socks: Topshop
Shoes: ASOS

Thought I'd share my outfit from last night with you guys. I went out in my hometown with some of my lovely old friends and had one of the best nights I've ever had there. I went for pre-drinks at my friend's beautiful house - he's got an island in his kitchen which is my domestic dream! I've not been out for a while and was at a total loss as to what to wear and half my clothes ended up on my floor/bed before I settled upon this. I was desperate to wear my beautiful new boots, which are dupes of the Topshop Allegra's that I totes forgot to get. They were incredibly comfortable and I was quite embarrassingly proud to be one of the only girls out still wearing their shoes at the end of the night!

Today has been beautiful! It's been wonderful to recover in the sun and plan with my family our NZ trip. I'm praying the sun stays out for the rest of the week as people are sadly already predicting the return of the rain :(

The photos were taken on my iPhone and I created the post on the blogger app. which was surprisingly easy and efficient. Although the photo quality isn't at the same standard of either my Canon or the digital camera I previously used, it's adequate and the ease of it all means I'll definitely be doing it again :) I hope you got to enjoy the sunshine, and like my saturday night outfit :)

TOPSHOP BIRTHDAY PEEP TOE BUCKLE HEELS WITH STUDDING

Shoes: Topshop
Dress: Next
Socks: Topshop
Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs

After mentioning my birthday gifts in yesterdays blog post. I thought I'd show you one of the two pairs of shoes I was kindly brought by one of my best friends. I sadly couldn't find them online so there is no link to them and I'm afraid I can only give you a rough indication of price: one of my friends was super envious and said she'd seen them in store at £65-£70. There is no shoe name mentioned upon any of the labels: which is why I've encapsulated every aspect of them within my awfully long title description.

They have a leather upper and several capped studs in the inside of the heel. I particularly love that they have a platform - as every girl will know the thicker the platform the smaller the heel height actually is! They've also got a very sturdy buckle which fastens just below the ankle: both supportive and fashionable - essential for when one's had a few too many drinks. What do you think to them?

I'm sorry there's no real styling of them but I just threw on a dress and managed to take one shot before heading off on a bike ride this evening. Its the first one I've been on in years and years but it went pretty well - although, after getting off my bike my legs were like jelly which really emphasised how unfit I truly am. I'm determined to tone up before my month's holiday in New Zealand in December so I may run a small feature on here featuring healthy alternatives and diet tips. As we're currently attempting very healthy but yummy meals at home. Can you recommend any recipes? I'm a sucker for buying cheap chocolate snacks rather than apples at uni and very much need to amend this before I return and get sucked back into my unhealthy snacky ways.

SUMMER DAZE

Top: Next
Jumper: Next
Skirt: Joules
Belt: ASOS
Sunglasses: Rayban
Necklace: Pilgrim
Bracelets: Birthday Gifts*
Rings: ASOS
Bag: Birthday Gift*
Shoes (wedged): Office
Shoes (flat): Primark

This is what I wore to my Grandma's Birthday Party yesterday, it was one of the only days this summer where there's actually been more sunshine than rain. My cousin's girlfriend and I were discussing how lots of our summer clothes still have labels attached which is so frustrating. I'm going to New Zealand for a month in December to visit family so at least I've got somewhere sunny to showcase my summer wardrobe (even if its no longer in season). My Mum, sister and I spontaneously decided to brave the Next Sale at 5am on Saturday - where I completely exploited my overdraft - I'll do a haul post on my purchases tomorrow :) The Next sale is one of my absolute favourites. I brought lots of cosy jumpers in preparation for moving back to student life in London, where putting on the heating is quite a treat.

I hope you can see an improvement in the quality of my photographs, I purchased a proper camera with my birthday money (I'll do a post on which one and all the deets this week :)) I'm very, very happy with it!

I'm showcasing a few birthday gifts within this post: I was very lucky and was utterly spoilt with lovely things for my 21st - all my friends and family evidently know me extremely well as I absolutely love everything I was kindly given :) I'll keep posting the bits out and may even do a post/review on/of some of the major bits. Hope you all had a lovely weekend! x

WHAT I WORE IN PARIS

Jacket: Topshop (old), Top: Republic, Skirt: Topshop, Bag: Ebay, Shoes: Topshop
Top: ASOS, Jeans: Topshop, Lipstick: D&G - My boy wears: Top: Hollister
Dress: H&M (Paris, Jumper: T.K.Max (Tyler's), Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs,
Sunglasses: Topshop, Bag: Ebay, Shoes: Vans
My boy wears Shirt & Vest from H&M (Paris) and shorts: H&M (UK)
Top: Zara, Skirt, Sunglasses and Shoes as before.

As I mentioned in my previous post my utter babe of a boyfriend took me to Paris to celebrate my 21st birthday. It's been one of the main cities I've wanted to visit and I'm so grateful he took me. I'm going to do a full post on my favourite bits but thought I'd share what I wore whilst I was there first. There was a heatwave whilst we were there (30+ degrees at 8pm) so I wasn't able to wear what I'd planned/my birthday trousers. So I'm sorry for the double-wear of the Topshop skirt - although it was one of the purchases I mentioned in my previous post.

Whilst we were there we had a caricature drawn of us: noone, including myself, thinks it looks like anything like me. What do you think? Also I spontaneously purchased an iPhone just before Paris so do follow me on instagram, I'm: sarahrosegoes :D

I hope you've not had a too unfortunate Friday 13th!? It's been a bit of a nightmare in my house, with my poor Mum falling down the stairs, my dog throwing up all over my bed and me being unwell (before the dog's vile sickness). I'm going to actually post everyday until I get busy as I've got hardly anything on now until my August internship especially as organising my 21st party is over. So I hope you enjoy some more consistent posts :)
