MOTEL ROCKS SPRING BLOGGERS EVENT

On thursday evening I assisted at the Motel Rocks Bloggers Event. For this event, less people were invited which made it so much more personal and easier to speak to bloggers and affiliates. The summer collection is my absolute favourite collection from Motel so far, I love the ditsy floral prints and wish I was cool/petite enough to pull off the amazing palm tree print shorts and shirt.

I met some wonderful people, including the lovely and super talented Sophie from Crown and Glory whose work is just phenomenal. There is so so so much I love on her site. At the event she was wearing this phenomenal creation which is a sophisticated take on an Easter bonnet and made me feel so nostalgic.

Rock 'n Rose were kind enough to give everyone there the option of a gorgeous ring or necklace from their collection. I chose the three spiked ring in silver :)

It was so lovely to catch up with Elodie, Stacey, Charlene and Steffani, my favourite thing about blogging is the lovely people you get to meet and the talented friends you make :)

PRODUCT REVIEW: KATY PERRY FOR EYLURE

OH MY! Lashes, £5.95

OH HONEY! Lashes £5.95
*Both pairs of Katy Perry for Eylure lashes were purchased and worn by my lovely friend Alex.*

I absolutely love how elegant both these pairs of lashes look on, they perfectly accentuate the eye-shaddow and liner Alex is wearing in each photo. They're extremely versatile and can be worn with either subtle or dramatic eye make-up. Each pair is hand made and highly durable, if applied carefully you can wear them again and again.

.The OH MY! lashes are very densely clustered and dramatic, Alex actually wore them for a dance competition we were participating in, the lashes are very big and create a beautiful layered effect. They're really flattering and full without appearing to look like a member of Geordie Shore or a girl wearing several pairs on Snog, Marry, Avoid. These are definitely night time lashes.

.OH HONEY! lashes create a more natural look with textured lashes which vary in length and thickness. Theses are perfect for either day or night OH HONEY! are basically a better version of your own lashes - and look extremely similar to my favourite Eylure 116's - accentuating and lengthening your lashes.

Have you tried any of Katy's lashes? If so what did you think?
They're currently included in a 3 for 2 offer at Boots where you can also collect between 20 and 24 club card points depending upon the eyelashes you choose.

GLOSSY BOX 6

This will be my last ever Glossybox post. I have un-subscribed as I'm really bored of the shower gels and hand creams I so regularly receive and have more than enough storage boxes. I was impressed with my Harrods Glossybox but not elated. I feel that it didn't live up to the immense hype surrounding it within the blogging community. I have introduced quite a few of my friends to the sample box scheme now and I hope they continue to enjoy it, it's just no longer for me.

I received: Leighton Denny High Performance Nail Colour - Honey Trap, Clarins Extra Firm Body Cream, RéVive Intensité Crème Lustre SPF 30, Bliss Blood Orange and White Pepper Body Butter & Versace - Vanitas Versace Eau De Parfum

The Leighton Denny varnish is LOVELY, its really natural and earthy and really subtle and has the nicest name. Its probably my favourite sample within this box. The Versace fragrance is okay, its not something I'd usually use or buy but it'll be an alright addition to my fragrance collection. The Bliss body cream isn't as potent as I expected it to be, I think my Grandma will really like it so I'm giving it to her when I next go home. I haven't actually used the RéVive Intensité Crème yet, I'm going to smother my face in it before I go to sleep tonight though in preparation for the Sports Club Ball tomorrow evening as I really need a boost.
This is a very busy week for me, tomorrow is my final day of lectures for my second year and then the ball ahhh!! (it's not actually a ball, but more of a dinner: I just got a bit too excited about it). I'm working at the Motel Bloggers event on thursday evening which I'm really looking forward to as the last event inspired me to create this blog. Please let me know if you're going? :)

MOTEL ROCKS SAMPLE SALE: MARCH

Laura, Selina and I modelling Motel Mountain Print.

Today I assisted at the Motel Rocks Sample Sale. It was immense. There were absolutely tonnes of wonderful bargains and beautiful garments available to the general public to view and purchase. I personally love sales, the vast majority of my wardrobe is made up of pieces I've purchased in sales as I utterly love a good bargain (see Marc). I don't think there's anything worse than purchasing an item full price, only to see it significantly reduced a few weeks later.
I had such a lovely day, as always, the Motel team are some of the loveliest people I've worked for and Laura and I always seem to have such fun whenever we're together! I inevitably left with a few pieces, which will appear on here over the next few weeks - I'm sorry I've neglected this blog for a disgusting amount of time. I got into a bit of a rut with photographing things as I'd been taking all my outfit pictures on my boyfriend's mac, which isn't ideal as I absolutely hate having my photo taken and get really shy especially when it comes to posing (anyone else suffer with this anxiety too?!?) I have resolved this awkward issue and now have a tripod so hopefully you guys will see an improvement and consistency in my posts from now on :)

PRODUCT REVIEW: MAC MINERALIZE CHARGED WATER

MAC Mineralize Charged Water - £15

At my LFW MAC consultation I mentioned to the artist that I felt my skin was really suffering through being subjected to harsh air conditioning and heating whilst at work and everyday London life. My skin was becoming increasingly dry throughout the day and my make up often appeared cracked. The MAC artist instantly recommended their Mineralize Charged Water spray. Its basically a hydrating mist which both replenishes skin and enhances makeup application and wear, the artist advised spraying before makeup application to create a dewy canvas and to re-apply throughout the day to replenish moisture or re-set make-up. Through regular use my skin is able to retain a glowly radiant look and I've even taken to regular spraying on make-up free days. Mineralize Charged Water is also infused with green tea and citrus scents - very welcome on a stuffy and vile smelling tube, and refreshing on a humid day. I truly couldn't recommend this product more. I have observed a significant improvement with the overall feel of my skin and no longer have to reapply my make-up as frequently.

Have you tried MAC's Mineralize Charged Water? If so, how did you find it? Or what other spays do you recommend?

LONDON FASHION WEEK: PROSE INTERVIEW

Image courtesy of CUB Fashion Editor Lucinda Turner.

I was lucky enough to be invited to watch the Prose show at London Fashion Week and go backstage and interview designer/founder/total inspiration Miriam Lehle (to say I was excited would be a MA-JOR understatement. Above is a sneaky shot Lucinda took of the interview, which you can read here. I was so nervous it was ridiculous but I really loved it and managed to get through my many questions. I'd done a lot of research which paid off as Lehle seemed very impressed that I knew this wasn't her first show at LFW. Miriam is an exceptionally talented and lovely lady and I can't wait to see more from her in the future.

MARNI MANIA

Blouse: Marni for H&M
Leggings: American Apparel
Ring: Topshop
Nails: Barry M 308 Berry

Blouse: Zara
Skirt: Marni for H&M
Bracelet: gift
Rustic Boots: All Saints*

Right so yesterday was the launch of Marni for H&M. There was A LOT of hype surrounding this collection - shot by the phenomenal Sofia Coppola - and I personally think the collection lived up to it! I purchased two garments: the Gold Jacquard Silk blouse and skirt: I evidently wouldn't wear them together. Both items have actually now sold out and I'm really considering selling them as I'm srsly broke and although both were a pretty reasonable £59.99 I'm regretting it slightly already. After taking the photos I actually loathe the blouse, it's definitely the least 'me' garment I think I've ever worn and it does absolutely nothing for my figure. The skirt on the other hand is beauts. What do you think? Did you get anything from the Marni collection - did it exceed your expectations or were you disappointed?

My babe of a flat mate Rushi took these photos for me, if you follow him (or me :D) on twitter he'd be super, super happy :D
*UPDATE*
I am actually selling the top here.

GLOSSYBOX 5

BECCA BEACH TINT WATERMELON, DR BRONNER LAVENDER HAND SANITISER, AWAPUHI BY PAUL MITCHELL WILD GINGER TREATMENT OIL, BM BEAUTY PURE MINERAL EYESHADOW & COMO SHAMBHALA INVIGORATE SHOWER GEL.

I only received my Glossybox at the start of this week due to some ridiculous payment issue which still remains unexplained. It wasn't a very exciting box - which explains why it failed to appear on numerous blogs - I was pretty deflated after its ridiculously delayed arrival and subsequently wasn't going to post about it as I was in quite a strop.

However, I've been pleasantly surprised. The Dr Bronner Lavender Hand Sanitiser is bloody marvellous. The lavender essence is extremely potent which is great for London life, as it completely masks the gross smell of the Central line - no one's complained or glared at me during or after using it either which is always a bonus and (I'd say) a product acceptance! Additionally the sanitiser is so refreshing I feel truly rejuvenated after using it, public transport really grosses me out when I think about it and (as I can afford no other alternative) carrying such a perfectly sized sanitiser about it utterly essential. Not to appear as though I have OCD I do actually have three in my handbag at present and I've found myself only reaching for this one - another credit to the product. Finally (I've praised this enough now) it's the most accessibly priced product I've received from Glossybox and I could actually see myself justifying a repurchase.
The most disappointing product is the BM beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow, as not a product I need or am interested in - variations of the shade appear in every Urban Decay palette I own.
What did you think of your February Glossybox? I'm very eagerly awaiting the arrival of March's as the spoilers show some utterly UM-AZING products. I'm particularly excited about the Burberry lipstick YSL Forever Youth Liberator.
