Today has been super surreal. I participated in a photo shoot for Cosmopolitan Magazine, for their Cosmo to Campus feature. A feature which recreates the high end and couture looks seen on the catwalk with high street garments which are modelled by university students. The stylist Laura and make up artist were such babes I had so much fun shooting with them, and learnt lots of clever make up tricks :) I was able to select my outfit for the shoot, and chose a cute yellow and white drop hem dress which ended up being ridiculously short (I'm so anxious my thighs look gigantic that I've been on the edge of majorly freaking out since the shoot :S). The issue I'll be in isn't out till February but I thought I'd share a few behind the scenes photos with you guys! :) Let me know what you think to my outfit, hair and make up :) Hope you've had a good day, I'm so excited for the weekend :D I'm going out for cocktails with my house mates to celebrate one of their birthday's and hopefully heading to winter wonderland with my boy. Have you got anything excited planned?

INSTAGRAMMING #2

Follow me: @sarahrosegoes

It's been a bloody long time since I last did one of these posts. I'm currently in the middle of preparing for an utterly horrendous 20 minute presentation on Rilke - which has to be amazing as it's what my subsequent 4,000 word assignment will be on *snooze*. To say I'm over this module would be an understatement. I used to genuinely enjoy reading stuff like this but the prospect of discussing his work in relation to Tolstoy at present is making me want to die. I blame this wholly on the fact that I leave for a month's holiday in Australia/New Zealand in just over a week and I'm beyond excited/terrified about baring my un-prepared bikini body.

I've been cramming an awful lot in this month as I'll be out the country for an entire month, I quit my job which felt incredible, with work restrictions lifted I was finally able to visit my best girl in Oxford, celebrate two of my other best friend's 22nd - one of which I got far too drunk at and utterly embarrassed myself, celebrated my boyfriend's 22nd at the Ice Bar, ordered far too many bikinis from ASOS, modelled in my first real photo shoot for my friend's uni project and realised that I really need to re-buy my favourite perfume. It was my first blogging birthday which saw a competition collaboration with Coco Deville.

I've got a lot of horrific work to get done this week but I have the most exciting day on Friday which I can't wait to tell you all about :D What have you been up to so far? It's weird not being remotely excited for Christmas (my fam and I are visiting family who emigrated to NZ instead, so no presents, tree's decorations or dinner for me - although my parents kindly brought me a lovely advent calendar).

#MotelXmas photobooth fun

Sorry for the poor quality of some of the photos, I'll replace them with the originals once they've been uploaded onto the company's website. Photobooths are such a fun feature to have at a party, providing great entertainment; I felt especially nostalgic dressing up as Minnie Mouse for the photos as she was my childhood idol (see below). I've spent this weekend at home packing for my month's trip to New Zealand, my little dog re-discovered my Minnie Mouse cuddly toy from yearss ago.

#MotelXmas Bloggers Christmas Party

On Monday evening I assisted at Motel's #MotelXmas christmas bloggers party. It was such a great event, held at Floripa in Shoreditch, with hair by Lee Stafford, lashes by Eyelure, make-up by My Face Cosmetics, a photobooth (of which I'll do a separate post on) and copious amounts of cocktails and pop chips. It was such fun, although Selina and I were freezing on the door at the start of the night so I look terribly hunchbacked in most of the photos, or super pasty. I leave for a month in New Zealand in two weeks and am ridiculously excited to get a tan! I wore the Verona Bodycon dress with my Topshop black skater skirt over the top as I was having a bit of a fat day. It was so lovely to catch up with my favourite bloggers: Charlene, Lucy, Lauren, Mary, Jemma, Lisa Claire and Elodie and meet some other lovely girls including Lucia who was lucky enough to have her hair done by Lee Stafford himself. If you attended the event do let me know what you received as your gift as there were some very intriguingly wrapped boxes!

Also do remember to enter my competition, only three days to go!

COMPETITION - COCO DEVILLE: MONSIEUR STEVE GIVEAWAY

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, I had a very exhausting but fun one shooting for two magazines (I'll post the photos for one of them later this week :D) and visiting my best friend in Oxford, which was so much fun!

Despite neglecting my blog lately due to the intense pressures of third year (yes, it's even worse than everyone tells you it will be) and planning for my month trip to New Zealand to visit family in a couple of weeks, I really do enjoy it. I've met some lovely people (including my babe of a housemate) and attended some really cool events. It's weird that a year's passed since I first posted but this has definitely been one of the best and busiest of my life: I've completed fifteen internships, scraped a 2.1, turned twenty-one, visited Paris and commenced my final year at uni.
I therefore thought it'd be lovely to do my first giveaway to celebrate a year of Sarah-Rose Goes... (even if it isn't the most consistent thing).I have collaborated with the popular online fashion store Coco Deville to give you the opportunity to win one of their gorgeous Monsieur Steve tee's. All of the above are available to be won and the lovely Katy from Coco Deville will be selecting one at random for the lucky winner :)

Good Luck :) a Rafflecopter giveaway

OOTD: ALL SAINTS SMOCK DRESS

Dress: All Saints *
Leggings: American Apparel
Socks: Topshop
Boots: All Saints *(Rustic Chelsea)

This is possibly one of my all time favourite dresses, it's made from Italian Cloth and has the cutest peter pan collar - a trend I don't seem able to get over. It's currently sold out, soo I'm super, super happy I managed to get it as I'd had my eye on it for weeks and weeks. The only issue with it is that if its worn with tights a static is created which holds the dress up, which isn't ideal if its your work dress and your job involves bending over a lot - literally so many embarrassing instances have occurred I've taken to wearing it with leggings and socks (don't judge me). I used my All Saints uniform to get both this dress and the boots (last season - may be available in the archive section). I'm infatuated with almost everything from this season's collection and cannot wait for my loan to arrive so I can make optimum use of my discount. Have you purchased anything from All Saints recently?

OOTN: TOPSHOP NECKLACE & HAIL MARY

Top: TopshopSkirt: TopshopNecklace: Topshop *Shoes: ASOS
It's been far too long since I last posted an outfit post on here. I've been struggling immensely financially and haven't actually purchased any new clothes since August (I brought a scarf and coat in September as they were essential for warmth and I can easily hide literally any old out underneath - bloody good plan!). My student finance still hasn't arrived, so all of my savings and wages from work have been paying for my flat, oyster card and fruit juice addiction. Hopefully it'll arrive very shortly, although I've had to borrow so much recently that I'm certain it will just go straight back to my lovely boyfriend and parents who've very kindly subbed me recently. Which means the numerous 'I need...' and 'I want...' lists will have to wait until I get chosen for a medical trial. I've established a DIY fashion feature in my University magazine which is going down really well, and forcing me to rethink and reinvent various garments which had previously been relegated to the back of my wardrobe. I'll post all the bits I've done so far on my other blog later today :) These photos were taken by my friend Alex before our club sport session at the SU the other week. The necklace is one of my favourite things at the moment and something I was kindly given by my Co Editor on a shoot we did recently. I've not seen this exact one in store but I've seen ones with black cording which look just as lovely. I'm a few away from 100 followers mile stone and a week away from my blogging birthday so keep checking back for a competition as I've been approached by a very exciting online store!!
