Pale Pals

Buckle cross body bag, & Other Stories

If, like me, there can never have too many shades of blue in your wardrobe you'll be thrilled to know that blue hues are set to be a lovely little sub trend this autumn.

And, when it comes to blues hues, the paler the hue the better.

From powder to sky blue the shade of your chosen accessory needs to be just right. Light enough to work as an alternative to your usual go-to navy or millennial pink yet dark enough to act as an sophisticated step-up from baby blue.

Look out for streamlined silhouettes, elegant hardware and interesting detailing - think oversized buckles - to offset it from being too pretty.

Summer holiday essentials whatever the weather

Lunan Waterproof Jacket, Barbour; Grey tee, Farnol; Denim Skirt, New Look

I'm not flying away anywhere this summer which has meant my summer holiday shopping has been slightly different. I swapped last year's trip to Cape Verde for two week's camping in Cornwall and, whilst my suitcase was just as full it's contents differed heavily.

Whilst we've been blessed with so much sun a Cornish camping trip isn't viable without lots of jumpers, at least one waterproof and plenty of layers for when the sun sets.

So, if like me, you're staying in the UK this summer I thought I'd share my edit of summer holiday essentials with you...
