What To Wear For Valentine's Date Night

So, for full and clear disclosure I don't really celebrate Valentine's day. I definitely don't have any elaborate or low-key plans for this Thursday but I vicariously live it (rather heavily) through colleagues and friends date nights and their little and outrageous gifting.




Long boring story short, this will be my tenth Valentine's with my boyfriend and as we're going on (another) big trip to California in May I'd actually be more annoyed if he wasted his money on gifts for me than if he didn't get me anything. I'd rather a cute cake date at MILK Bar over there rather than anything extravagant here.

Therefore this is all a more general 'what I would wear on a Valentine's date night if I was going on one' than what I'll actually be wearing - which is 110% going to be my new Cath Kidston pjs and a sheet mask (FYI this gem is currently on offer). A W I L D night all around.

But, in another world I would be getting glam and would have all of the below dresses strewn across the floor in a manic panic over what to wear. Before heading to a lovely dinner at Hakkassan or similar where I'd be wearing one of the dresses that I'd finally decided upon...
